Welcome.

Pottery created on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. The focus of my work is primarily on distinct aquatic and nature-inspired themes. I am driven by receiving feedback from my retailers and customers. My mugs can be found throughout Alaska or purchased directly from my online store.

I am currently focused on mugs. I fire up the kiln weekly to keep up with demand. I am always exploring new techniques. I embrace the imperfections in my work, as I view my art as functional and imperfect by design. My artistic approach can be described as a practice of imperfectionism.

About the Potter

Isaac Davis

I am known as The Peninsula Potter. Art has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I have experience working with a diverse range of mediums such as wood, metal, acrylic, textiles, and clay. Approximately five years ago, I ventured into the realm of clay and began teaching myself how to shape it into functional works of art. After much dedication and reaching a pivotal point in my life, I made the courageous decision to take a chance on my abilities and establish The Peninsula Potter. I consider myself incredibly fortunate and grateful to have the unwavering support of my wife and a dedicated creative space to bring my artistic visions to life. The Peninsula Potter, established in 2024 and based in Soldotna, Alaska, is a studio that specializes in handcrafted functional and custom pottery, including mugs, bowls, vases, and decorative pieces. We prioritize collaborations, cater to those who appreciate handmade items, and aim to establish personal connections with customers.
